Sydney Summer Style – Hair Trends 2019
Spring is underway and we’re heading fast towards summer. What are the new hair trends for 2019 and what should you be wearing in your hair!
Sharper bobs, smoother styles
So according to experts expect more shorter styles this summer. Sharper bobs, cleaner cuts, wet hairstyles and side parts. Super smooth straight hair will still be around, so make sure you have a good quality hair straightener and head in to your local salon for Keratin Smoothing Therapy.
Get that ‘lived in’ look
Another massive current trend which will probably stay around for the next 12 months is more ‘lived in’ blonde hair. Rather than streaky bright blonde colours an experienced stylist can create natural blonde hair with dark shadowed roots, these styles grow out and blend better and look amazing. Accessorise!
Hair accessories are making a comeback big, bold and bright. From decorated bobby pins, hair beads, large hair clips with pearls and crystals to an assortment of hair bands.
The Scrunchie Returns
Bringing back the 80’s and 90’s is the return of the hair scrunchie. Originally patented in 1987 by pianist Rommy Revson, and designed it to be gentler on the hair.
Big, Bold, Bows
Not to be left out is the inclusion of bows the bigger the bolder the better. Bows are not just a practical accessory for those bad hair days but are simple way of smartening up an outfit. Take a spare head scarf to the beach and it can double up as a hair tie. Keeping wet hair under control and even protecting your hair from the sun.
Bedazzled Hair Clips
Lastly my favourite summer trend is bedazzled word hair clips. Made popular this summer by fashion designer Ashley Williams. Worn this summer by J’Lo and Selena Gomez. You can say something without saying anything. From cheaper clips to $400 Gucci hair slides ‘make a statement this summer’.
